Smooth, Simple, Secure: SuperSeton tensile test

The SuperSeton comes with an innovative closure, which is flexible, yet secure and safe. The two hooks (or wedges) ensure a strong connection, and we wanted to show the tensile strength by recording this short video.

In this tensile test, the machine stretches the SuperSeton until it eventually opens up. You will see that only when reaching 7,79 Newton, it finally de-connects. This corresponds with a weight of approximately 0,8 kilograms or 1,76 pounds.

Sufficient proof for surgeons and patients that SuperSeton offers not only a smooth, simple and secure knotless seton drainage solution, but also a very strong one.
